Privacy notice
How information sent through this website is handled.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Panagiotis Giannios. For any privacy question, use the contact form and choose “Other”.
What is collected
The contact form collects your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the type of enquiry, your preferred format and language, your message and your consent. If you book a call, the booking page collects your name, email address, phone number if you give it and preferred language. The form for healthcare professionals also collects your specialty or role, organisation and the topic of the request. The hosting provider may process basic technical data for security. This website does not use cookies or analytics.
Health information
If you are asking about genetic counselling, your message may include information about your health or your family’s health, which is a special category of personal data. It is processed only on the basis of your explicit consent, given through the form, and only to reply to your enquiry. Please share only what is needed for a first reply.
Purpose and legal basis
Information is used to reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, to arrange a consultation. The legal basis is your request and steps taken before a possible service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for health information, your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out. If a consultation follows, the information you share in it is covered by separate terms that you receive beforehand.
Who processes it
Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and stores form submissions; Netlify is based in the United States and transfers rely on the safeguards in its data-processing terms. Bookings for the introductory call are handled by Google Calendar, part of Google Workspace, which I also use for email; Google receives the details you enter when booking and acts as a processor under its data-processing terms. Your information is never sold or used for advertising.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are deleted within 12 months of the last exchange, unless a consultation or collaboration follows or a legal obligation requires longer retention.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to its processing or withdraw your consent, through the contact form. You also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority: in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es); in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
